The Society of Plastic Surgeons of Bangladesh (SPSB) traces its roots back to 1993 when it was initially established as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Bangladesh (PARSA), under the leadership of Professor Dr. Md Shahidullah. After his passing, Dr. Shafquat Hussain Khundkar took over as president of an interim committee.
In January 2010, the organization officially changed its name to SPSB, cementing its status as the successor to PARSA. Since then, SPSB has been dedicated to fostering the professional growth of plastic surgeons in Bangladesh and unifying them towards common objectives.
At Present, SPSB continues to play a crucial role in enhancing plastic surgical healthcare, promoting professional excellence, and addressing the diverse needs of the plastic surgery community in Bangladesh.
